Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing is not about just creating noise about your products. It needs to help your business stand apart in this competition. People do not get attracted just by ads that showcase your products – they need to hear a story to keep them engaged and help you create your brand. So to reach your audience, you as an entrepreneur need to have the art of storytelling. An interesting story has enough power to draw in customers and turn them into conversions. People need something that appeals to them and hence you can have visual stories and get people to read your content. Your storytelling should have certain key elements to make it work –

Initial Setup- Every story needs a built-up to create an atmosphere that will draw people's attention. Here introduction needs to be given to the characters and how they will give life to the story. Try to set a stage that the customers can connect to. This helps them to identify with your story, thus making it relatable.

Have the main Hero – As every movie has a hero who plays an important role, let your story also have the main lead to whom the audience can relate. Do not make your business or product your hero, as that might tend to bore people who are spending their time and energy visiting your website. You can have the customer as your hero, connecting them to you.

Drama – No story is complete without drama in it. The audience will not come to you if you do not give them what they want. So your drama should state how you will help them solve the problems they face and what they have to gain if they invest in you. You need to paint a picture where you show them how investing in your business will help them make their lives better. Your picture of the drama should connect to them on an emotional level.

Keep them addicted - Businesses should see to it that their content does not bore people. The current generation has a short attention span and keeping them hooked to you is not an easy job. Keep on reinventing the story and give out new ideas. Create a dramatic movement in the story so that the reader sits through the whole story. You need not make the person buy something from you that moment itself but leave something for suspense so that they come back and then this might lead to conversions.

Truth – Storytelling does not always mean just giving out great ideas. They also need to state the truth about whatever you are trying to convey. Being honest and direct lays a foundation for a good story to appeal to potential customers. A simple statement can be weaved into a good story if you thoroughly research what your customers want.

Ending – This is the most important part of storytelling. Going around in circles without completing the story will not help your business. You might have started out well with a captivating start, but if you do not know how to end it properly, your story will lose its importance and meaning. Since a good story has an enticing start and engaging middle order, it must have a good ending. If the user does not like the ending, they may forget the story that had been otherwise good enough for them. Your end should help the customer take their decisions and think of taking their business with you to the next level.

Videos – Along with stories, having a great visual impact to go along with them will also help the business. Showcasing your stories with a video that helps connect with the audience will always lead to conversions.
